Matte / Output¶
Controls the external matte and output.
Matte¶
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Matte Layer | An external matte layer. Luminance multiplied by alpha attenuates beam emission spatially, for example to dim or damage part of the screen. |
| Matte Amount | Matte strength. Inactive if no matte layer is selected. |
Output¶
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Output | Output pass: Composite (normal), Beam Only (core), Glow Only (halo), or Matte (intensity matte with white RGB and alpha). |
| Background | Black draws on a black screen; Transparent outputs the beam for compositing over layers below; Add Over Source adds the beam to the original footage. |
| Pixel Perfect (No AA) | Disables antialiasing. Thresholding, lines, variation and curvature use hard edges for a pixel-art or early-vector-game look. |
Separate passes for compositing
Duplicate the layer and use Beam Only and Glow Only to composite the core and halo with separate blend modes and color adjustments. Matte output is useful for track mattes or controlling adjustment layers.
